After the Peralta S comes the Peralta D. It is a new 2+2 Gran Turismo coupe with a body made entirely of hand-hammered copper, designed by Fabrizio Giugiaro for GFG Style, a design studio long known for one-offs and extraordinary concepts.
The car was unveiled on October 24 at the 2026 Pastejé Automotive Invitational in Mexico. It belongs to a wave of contemporary interpretations based on the Maserati GranTurismo, here transformed into more of a collector’s object than an everyday grand tourer.
Entrepreneur and collector Carlos Peralta commissioned it as a one-off, the same client behind the Peralta S. The new project continues the same design language but goes even further in its use of copper and in personalizing the exterior and interior.
A Monolith Of Copper And Glass
The body is made from copper, a pure metal chosen for its visual impact and malleability, and shaped entirely by hand. The beltline separates the lower section, finished entirely in copper, from the upper section in mirrored glass, treated to echo the metal’s color and create an almost monolithic effect.

The car’s name refers to the bond between Carlos Peralta and his daughters, just as the Peralta S was dedicated to his sons. The letter D also points to several design solutions conceived specifically for a female audience.
The structure is carbon fiber, with an aluminum platform, as on the Maserati donor car. The wheels feature a geometric motif inspired by the 1970s and are finished in anthracite black to make the copper bodywork stand out even more. Fabrizio Giugiaro described the project himself:
'The Peralta D was born from the positive energy and creative harmony established with Carlos Peralta during the development of the Peralta S. We wanted to continue that stylistic journey, exploring the expressiveness of a fascinating and complex material such as copper.'
The result is a grand tourer that emphasizes visual drama more than published performance figures.
No Conventional Doors
The cabin ditches traditional doors and uses the same single-motion "dome" canopy seen on the Peralta S, with independent side windows. At the rear, however, a new gullwing-style opening, without an underlying structure, makes access to the rear seats easier than in the original base car.

This solution recalls the one Giorgetto Giugiaro, Fabrizio’s father, developed in 1967 for the De Tomaso Mangusta. The reference clearly links GFG Style’s current work to ideas born during the golden age of Italian car design.
The front and rear use thin, full-width light blades. Geometric diamond-pattern grilles in milled and laser-engraved aluminum conceal the auxiliary lighting and create an effect called "shadow lights." All carbon-fiber elements, including the front spoiler and rear exhaust outlets, are hidden from view to avoid interrupting the interplay between copper and glass.
An Interior With Copper Details
The seats, dashboard, and panels are upholstered in leather with a metallic effect in a shade that echoes the bodywork, with perforated Alcantara inserts. The stitching uses real copper threads, visually tying the cabin to the exterior and making the interior more consistent with the car’s theme.

The dashboard splits into two symmetrical sections: the driver’s instrumentation on the left, and a passenger compartment configured as a makeup station on the right. The monitor in front of the right-hand seat becomes an illuminated mirror, underscoring the explicit dedication to Peralta’s "daughters."
Hidden in the rear center console is a retractable refrigerator designed to hold a bottle of champagne and four glasses, also made of copper. It is more of a private lounge than a grand tourer, in keeping with the one-off character of the Peralta D.
