The Italian State Police is expanding its fleet with a new Lamborghini Temerario, unveiled in Sant’Agata Bolognese in the presence of Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi and Lamborghini executives. The Raging Bull supercar will be used primarily for public-service missions, including the urgent transport of organs and medical supplies, continuing a partnership between Lamborghini and the Italian State Police that began in 2004 with the Gallardo.

From Gallardo To Temerario: More Than 20 Years Of Collaboration

The relationship between Lamborghini and the Italian State Police began with a Gallardo assigned to the highway patrol, which was used for the first organ transport mission as early as September 2004. Over the years, the fleet also added the Gallardo LP 560-4, several Huracán models, and, since 2023, the Urus Performante.

Over more than two decades, a total of six Lamborghini vehicles have joined the Italian State Police fleet. According to the announcement, these cars have taken part in more than 200 organ transport missions across Italy and more than 1,500 initiatives focused on road-safety education and safe driving.

An Italian Police Lamborghini With 907 HP

The new Lamborghini Temerario is the latest chapter in the collaboration. The Sant’Agata-built supercar is equipped with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with three electric motors, producing a combined 907 hp. In official service, that setup will support the speed required to reach destinations during the most sensitive missions.

During the presentation, officials also introduced the book “I motori della Polizia” (“The Engines of the Police”), produced by the Italian State Police’s Institutional Communications Office and published by Giunti Editore and Giorgio Nada Editore. The book traces the evolution of the vehicles used by the institution, from cars and motorcycles to special-purpose vehicles, linking the history of those machines to the history of the police force and the country.

Motor1's Take: The Temerario may look like an extravagant police car, but its role is far more practical than flashy. With 907 hp and hybrid efficiency, it is designed to reach destinations quickly when every second matters, continuing a unique Lamborghini tradition that has already supported more than 200 organ-transport missions.
